Therapy for trans folx seeking HRT or GAS

Therapy and Counseling for Transgender Folx seeking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or Gender-Affirming Surgery (GAS)

While most Pride events are long over (though Rochester, NH Pride Day was just held 8/27/22)

we continue by to show up as ourselves.

Proud and beautiful on the inside. But you know what, some days we feel small, insignificant or even invisible on the outside. How many times has some stupid or inappropriate question about plumbing just knocked you to your knees?

This Labor Day Weekend in Scituate, MA may have been filled with fun and laughter for some, but others of us cringed at the thought of being around so many family members at once.

You try to tell your close relatives you are Transgender, but some days you just want to post it on Social Media and be done with it! I get it. This stuff is hard!

June is sterotypically called Gay Pride Month, but I recently heard a great unnamed quote that said QUEER FOR A YEAR NOT GAY FOR A DAY! It’s time to celebrate who we are every single day! Sometimes it’s in big, bold and in your face ways. But other times it might be choosing to put on mascara or wear a slightly form fitting blouse that accentuates your new breasts. The thing is – you get to choose. It’s time to be you!

Hi, My name is Lisabeth Wotherspoon and I love working with people just like you, on the cusp of coming out in all ways, or having recently come out and are now trying to navigate the sometimes turbulent waters. Some days you look back and think, “why didn’t I do this earlier?” and then other days, you simply avoid looking in the mirror. Your confidence is low after an electrolysis appointment when your beard hairs are more prominent.

I am a Queer Trans-Affirming therapist who accepts you wherever you are in your jouerney. I am not a gate keeper if you are just looking for a letter for GAS. We look at the risks and benefits in you circumstances, make sure your expectations are realistic, and that you have a support system to go home to.

This stuff isn’t easy! There is no instruction manual. I welcome the opportunity to work with you as you present to the world the YOU that has always inside, but struggled to break free. Call today for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we might be a great fit. My office is located in Rochester, NH but I offer virtual appointments throughout NH, ME and MA.

I am out of netowrk with all insurances, but I can help you navigate the insurance world to get reimbursed for services. I can often look up your benefits while we are on the phone.

Isn’t it time to commit to being your best self? And that means taking care of your overall mental health and well-being, too.

We have come a very long way in this society, and and as members of the LGBTQIA community, we have more freedom to express who we truly are and who we choose to love more than any other time in history. And yet, LGBTQIA members are also members of the human race We will always experience challenges and traumas, love and loss, illness, depression, anxiety and more. And sometimes, we may have emotional wounds to work through that come from early life shame and guilt connected with our sexuality or gender identity.

I offer EMDR therapy to help clients work though decades of trauma or lifelong emotional wounds. EMDR is one of the most researched forms of Trauma therapy. Call 603-994-0114 today to learn more about EMDR and how it might be the key to changing your life.
